how am I different than other tutors?

The difference between Brooke's Tutoring LLC and a larger tutoring company, put simply, is how much I care. When your student comes to sessions, they are valued, listened to, free to explore new ideas and concepts, and free to ask any questions without any fear of judgement or embarrassment. Your student is cared for when they are on my roster. We celebrate/acknowledge birthdays, holidays, and milestones in their lives. My students know they are supported, encouraged, and valued in every way. My goal for every session is that a student leaves feeling happier, more confident, and more capable than when they come in. As much focus is on their academic success, I also get to know my students and their families closely, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. My students know I am here for them to help them thrive in school--but more than that, I am here to be a role model and support system in their lives as they continue to grow and forge their own paths. 

I also work collaboratively with students' other teachers and instructors, to ensure communication is taking place across the board, and that I am the most informed I can be. I often will be in communication with students' teachers during the school year to check up on their progress and get further feedback from the teachers that they see on a daily basis.
